Keeping in mind the new fashions on hair, here are my personal opinions on extensions. I prefer using ventilated wefts. The hair is compacted in half inch strands and it looks like a sheet of hair that comes out from the scalp. The amount of hair in the half of an inch is equal to three extensions, with less rows of hair in the scalp. I choose this method for the women that like to have long hair, and lots of it, with minimum tracks. If you have long hair yourself and it's thin, look at my model in the front cover. That is only one extension. It is one inch in thickness, yet it has the amount of six extensions. I will break down why I prefer to sew versus using glued or same thing as micro cylinders or flashpoint.
If you use glued hair extensions, you will have bald spots in your head, due to the pressure that each individual glued section has. If you have this type of extensions, your hair has to pulled up and put in a scrunchie while you sleep, so you don't pull your glued extensions and form pressure.
The same thing, but in a less form of baldness, is the micro cylinders. I only recommend micro cylinders for the front area around the face, because as you sleep, they will pull on your head. I personally use micro cylinders to fill my hair around the front line. This is my experience with them. You really need to have patience while you do your hair and be careful not tug on them while you blow dry them. They require special care, but if you do need them to fill out places in your head, they are great.
I have personally seen horrific results from glued extensions. My choice for adding extensions is the sew on method, because you can wear them as your own hair with much less maintenance.
I make custom hair pieces for women and men who need a lot of hair. I make a pattern and have them made to fit your scalp, and design the outlines of your natural forehead. If you need a hairpiece, you need me. I will make you look like you always did when you had hair. The difference is the custom fit.
